This school year marks some major changes in my teaching approach. Not only have I embraced online education, but I am travelling full time with my husband! Montana in August is simply amazing.

Full time RV life is sort of fun, but also a huge learning curve. If you've drained a black tank... then you know!
Online music lessons are a lot of fun! (side note: I don't have to worry constantly if my bathroom is guest ready anymore...) There are a lot of benefits to teaching online, and thanks to technology we can make it almost just as personal as in person lessons.
Online music lessons require the students to be a little more independent. So, if you've got students who need hand over hand instruction all the time (virtual may not be a good option). But, virtual lessons could also encourage those students to become independent musicians. I think it is worth trying.
Your online presence can reach so many more students.
I am using Muzie.Live and so far I LOVE IT! I should become an affiliate for them. They are incredibly helpful. Muzie is designed for music teachers. So it is different from Zoom, Skype, Facetime, Google Meet, and etc... It has interactive games, metronomes, on screen keyboard, practice log, leadership board... pretty much all we need to have a successful online experience.
Students using Muzie will have the best experience using a laptop or PC. Apple products and phones work but some of the features are not compatible. They just need a camera and microphone and you're all set!

Our Golden Retriever Macy Mae is LOVING the lakes and rivers here in Montana. Last week we went to Canyon Ferry Lake and took a whole afternoon relaxing and (not really relaxing because Macy wants to play play play lol) but relaxing and soaking up the beautiful landscape.
My husband is here doing travel physical therapy work. The clinic he is working at is AMAZING! The PT here has recently patented a device called the CRa (Core Reprogramming Activator). Think of a neuro based mix between pilates and yoga... I'm so excited to see where his movement goes. I think it will blow up soon. (Don't say I told ya so)
